Summer Fun!

I so enjoyed working with Georgina to plan the flower designs for her marriage to Florian last summer – she was just so chilled about it all even though she was planning the wedding long-distance as she lives in Germany! The couple chose the fabulous setting of Normanton Church for their wedding ceremony – they were so lucky that they had a beautiful sunny day to take advantage of the gorgeous backdrop provided by Rutland Water for their wedding photos.

I am very grateful to Georgina and Florian for letting me share some of their wedding photos so that you can see how this beautiful wedding was styled, and of course to Matthew Horan who took such fabulous photos. You can see more of the photos and flower designs from this wedding on my current featured wedding gallery – do take a peek…

Bride and groom at Normanton Church

What could be a more perfect setting for a summer wedding? The newly weds leave Normanton Church looking so happy…

Bride with dusky pink shower bouquet

For her wedding bouquet Georgina decided on a shower style but made in quite a neat shape, She wanted to include plenty of roses and other flowers in pale dusky pink with cream and ivory. Little touches of gypsophila were used to reflect the intricate detailing on Georgina’s beautiful dress and to give the bouquet a vintage feel.

Bridesmaid posies in dusky pink

The same mix of flowers was used for the bridesmaids’ dainty posies with plenty of gypsophila to add to the vintage look. The colours worked perfectly with their pale dusky pink dresses.

Dusky pink flower spray for the registrar's table

Normanton Church needs very little in the way of decoration as it is such an amazing building and really beautiful inside. However, a spray design always works well on the registrar’s table, setting the tone of the wedding and incorporating flowers in the couple’s chosen colour scheme.

Bride and groom on the wedding bus special

Then on to Barnsdale Hall Hotel for the wedding breakfast – could there be a better way to travel to than this?  Such fun….

 Bird cage centrepiece

Pretty bird cages filled with flowers and plenty of candlelight – what could be more stunning for a romantic vintage-styled reception! I’m sure everyone must have enjoyed a fantastic day and evening.
